I am older, with a young wife. My wife decided to move up, sent all her Yurman to Real Real and buy serious jewelry. We have bought a lot of stuff now, including a lot of gold and diamonds and also wanted some large sapphire earrings. Sapphires are much, much more difficult to evaluate than gold or diamonds, so we did our research and found NSC. Lauren answered my inquiry and I had numerous conversations with her. Lauren is totally professional, direct and EXTREMELY knowledgeable. She could have sold us earrings for two or three times what we paid, but Lauren was interested in our getting the right set. We took up a lot of her time and effort and we looked at more than 6 different stones mailed to us for evaluation (I recommend this!!!). The final product was perfect, with extremely well-made platinum settings. My advice: do lots of research, trust your eyes, look at the stones. I believe that NSC is the go to source for value, selection and quality in sapphire jewelry. P.S. everybody thinks sapphires are only medium-dark blue gemstones—forget about it—we have bought blue ones, but the yellow ones, especially if combined with halo or pave diamonds (and yellow gold settings), can be stunning, and look at pale blues also. White sapphires are also an excellent idea for a pair of stud earrings.
Best Wishes,
Warren Matthei
