Long before any hand shaped or set this yellow sapphire began its story deep within the ancient bedrock of Ceylon, where pressure and heat quietly sculpted mineral worlds over millions of years. In pockets of metamorphic gneiss and in channels of old river gravels, aluminium and oxygen combined to form corundum, the durable mineral family that yields sapphires. Trace amounts of iron threaded through the crystal lattice during slow growth, bathing the emerging gem in a sunlit yellow that would become its signature. Tectonic shifts and the steady work of erosion eventually liberated this crystal from its stony cradle, sending it tumbling and polishing through streams and alluvial deposits, until skilled hands and keen eyes in Sri Lanka recognized its brilliance, and selected it for the careful journey that would bring it to you, AGL certified and pristine.
In our workshop the stone was given a form that honors its internal geometry, an asscher octagon shape that amplifies symmetry and light, creating a cathedral of facets that reflect and return that intense, pure yellow. This transparent, AGL certified yellow sapphire weighs 10.20 carats, measuring 12.21 x 11.64 x 8.37 mm, with a clarity grade of very very slightly included, evaluated at eye level, and an excellent polish that allows each facet to sing. There has been no enhancement to alter its color or clarity, the gem remains wholly natural, a true product of Ceylon, offered to you by The Natural Sapphire Company. Wearing this sapphire is to carry a story of deep time, of mineral chemistry and patient craftsmanship, a gem that began under pressure and became a radiant point of light, ready to be set as the centerpiece of a ring or pendant, destined to catch sunlight and memory alike. If you seek a jewel with geological nobility and perfect proportions, this Ceylon yellow sapphire will answer with steady fire and honest provenance.
