Because this is a custom made ring setting, we design the profile and shank to welcome future adjustments without compromising beauty or strength. The pavé shoulders are planned with a solid inner core and slightly raised channel so that modest resizing is accomplished at the plain underside of the shank where the metal can be added or removed, then welded and finished to match the original profile, while the pavé beads are inspected and re tipped as needed. For larger size changes our bench jeweler will carefully remove and safely store the tiny accent stones in the affected area, reinforce the shank by matching the alloy for consistent color and hardness, then re set the pavé stones with renewed beads, ensuring the uniformity of the sparkle. Platinum offers exceptional durability for repeated work, while gold alloys are easier to match in hue, and white gold may receive a fresh rhodium finish after resizing. The center prong gallery is engineered to protect the main gem during adjustment, and precision laser welding and hand finishing preserve the seamless elegance you see.
