Product description

As a representative of The Natural Sapphire Company, I am pleased to present a C Dunaigre certified orangy pink padparadscha sapphire, weighing 3.03 carats, with dimensions 7.82 by 7.81 by 5.27 mm, cushion shape, mixed brilliant cut. This gem exhibits a medium intense color intensity, a clarity grade of very slightly included evaluated at eye level, and an excellent polish. The mixed brilliant cut maximizes light return while preserving the delicate balance of pink and orange that defines padparadscha, producing lively sparkle without sacrificing the warm, lotus petal hue prized by collectors. The clarity description very slightly included means that any natural inclusions are minimal and do not materially detract from the gem when viewed without magnification, a desirable characteristic for a stone of this size. The stone has been heat treated, a conventional and widely accepted enhancement for sapphires, performed to stabilize and gently intensify color, and disclosed accordingly on the certification. The independent verification by C Dunaigre adds provenance and technical assurance, giving an educated buyer transparent, documented grading of weight, dimensions, cut, clarity, color intensity, treatment, and origin.

The origin of this padparadscha is Ceylon Sri Lanka, a region historically synonymous with the finest padparadscha and known for producing sapphires with vibrant, warm tones and excellent crystalline quality. This heritage matters, because stones from Sri Lanka carry a lineage of use in royal and ceremonial jewelry, where the unique orangy pink hue has been associated with auspicious events, bridal adornment, and heirloom pieces passed through generations. For an educated buyer, value rests not only in the measurable attributes, but also in story, rarity, and versatility. A 3.03 carat cushion padparadscha with medium intense saturation, excellent polish, and minimal eye visible inclusions presents a rare combination of presence, color purity, and wearability, suitable for a centerpiece engagement ring or a museum quality pendant. At The Natural Sapphire Company we can provide the full certification details, high resolution imagery, and advice on bespoke settings that will showcase the stone without obscuring its distinctive color balance, helping you make an informed, confident acquisition that respects both gemological standards and the cultural heritage of this much admired gemstone.
