Pave Purplish Blue Sapphire Ring 2.11 Ct., 18K White Gold

From the ancient gem gravels of Ceylon in Sri Lanka this purplish blue sapphire began its journey, carried from riverbeds that have yielded the world s most treasured sapphires for centuries. Skilled cutters in Sri Lanka recognized a rare balance of hue and clarity and chose a mixed brilliant cut to reveal both lively scintillation and the stone s medium intense color saturation. At 2.11 carats and measuring 7.34 by 7.35 by 4.94 millimeters this round sapphire exhibits excellent polish and remains very slightly included when evaluated at eye level, a testament to its natural origin and integrity. Importantly this sapphire has no enhancement, so the color and character you see are as formed by nature and refined by generations of gem cutters. The Natural Sapphire Company escorted this gem from mine to atelier, where careful planning of the cut and setting preserved the stone s natural story while readying it to become the focal point of a ring that carries both history and contemporary elegance.

Around the center sapphire a halo and delicate shoulder diamonds were chosen to enhance its tone and to cradle it in platinum 950 for lasting security and beauty. The ring features white round natural diamonds weighing approximately 0.08 carats with clarity VS1 and VS2 and color F, additional white round diamonds totaling approximately 0.33 carats with clarity VS and color F slash G, and further accents of approximately 0.158 carats with clarity VS and color F slash G. Each accent diamond is matched and set to complement the sapphire s sparkle, while the platinum 950 setting provides exceptional strength and corrosion resistance for daily wear. The design secures the center stone with a firm prong and halo construction and is finished with a precise gallery and reinforced shoulders to minimize movement and protect the pavilion, offering peace of mind that your sapphire is held as securely as it is beautifully displayed.
