Three Stone Pink Sapphire Ring 0.92 Ct., 18K Yellow Gold

The heart of the piece is a transparent 0.92 carat round pink sapphire, measuring 5.60 by 5.67 by 3.35 mm, cut to a mixed brilliant style that celebrates both color and brilliance. Mined in Sri Lanka, the rough crystal showed promise in its hue and clarity, and our cutters oriented the stone to preserve the intense color saturation that distinguishes true Ceylon pink. The mixed brilliant cut employed here layers a precise crown of brilliant facets over a carefully proportioned pavilion, a relationship of angles and depths that was calculated to maximize light return while deepening the pink tone. At eye level the sapphire is eye clean, its interior free from visible inclusions, and the surface displays an excellent polish that allows each facet plane to act like a small window, catching and reflecting light with lively scintillation and a velvet like glow in the pink body color.

The journey ends in a hand finished setting of 18K yellow gold, where craftsmanship meets measured restraint. On either side of the center sapphire sit white tapered baguette shaped natural diamonds, weighing approximately 0.08 carats in total, with clarity grades of Very Slightly Included VS1 and VS2, and a color grade of F. These side stones were chosen and cut to precise proportions so their straight tapered facets channel light toward the round center, providing linear brilliance that frames and elevates the pink sapphire without overpowering it. Each diamond and the sapphire are set to exacting tolerances, the prongs and shoulders aligned to maintain symmetry and to allow optimal light entry to the sapphire s mixed brilliant pavilion.
