Our master gemologists at The Natural Sapphire Company discovered this 1.76 carat round sapphire in Sri Lanka, noting its balanced proportions measuring 7.09 by 7.09 by 4.43 millimetres and its lively mixed brilliant cut that returns light with a lively, velvety fire. Evaluated at eye level, the stone is eye clean, and its excellent polish and intense colour saturation reveal a depth and clarity that speaks to its natural origin. Like many fine sapphires from Ceylon, it has undergone careful heat treatment to stabilise and enhance its colour, a traditional practice that respects the gem while revealing its full potential. In the workshop the sapphire found its setting, cradled in a refined platinum 950 ring that balances strength with a luminous, cool glow. Flanking the centre are white half moon shaped natural diamonds weighing approximately 0.30 carats in total, with clarity grades of VS1, VS2 and a crisp F colour, and tapered baguette white diamonds weighing approximately 0.07 carats with matching VS clarity and F colour. The half moons and tapered baguettes are placed to accentuate the sapphire, guiding light toward the centre while adding a timeless architectural elegance. The band itself is finished with an expertly smoothed interior and gently rounded shoulders, designed for comfortable daily wear and effortless elegance whether worn alone or paired with other pieces. Every curve and contour has been refined so the ring sits close to the finger, yet presents the sapphire proudly, with secure prongs and a thoughtful profile that protects the stone.
