This 1.25 carat Ceylon blue sapphire began its story deep within the ancient alluvial terraces of Sri Lanka, where centuries of geology and chance concentrate the earths colours into single remarkable crystals. Local miners passed the rough from hand to hand, following traditions that read the stone as much as the riverbeds.
