1.06 Ct. Bluish Green Sapphire from Madagascar

From the highlands of Madagascar where geological forces have been shaping earth for millions of years this 1.06 carat pear shape bluish green sapphire began its story deep within metamorphic rock. Miners working with close knowledge of the land found a transparent crystal that would travel from river gravels to careful sorting and then on to the skilled hands at The Natural Sapphire Company. Measuring 7.74 x 5.09 x 3.80 mm this gem was selected for its natural transparency and its medium intense color intensity. It was cut into a graceful pear silhouette with a mixed brilliant cut, evaluated as very slightly included at eye level, with an excellent polish.
