When it comes to judging the rarity of sapphires, an exceptional stone such as this one is the pinnacle of discussion. Not every sapphire crystal is capable of being cut in to a star, and those that are rarely show a star as bright as this. The deep saturation of this stone is also a talking point, as usually a stone with such a deep blue and with a sharp rayed star has been heated and/or treated with chemicals. That is not the case with this true rarity, as this 18.05ct star sapphire is completely natural and untreated.
