Product description

From the slow, patient heat of the earth in Madagascar to the careful hands that brought it to light, this sapphire carries the story of a long journey. Deep beneath ancient crust, mineral rich fluids and tectonic pressure coaxed corundum to crystallize, and in one pocket a rare reddish orange hue took hold. Miners uncovered rough crystals, and among those finds a single transparent crystal was set aside for its promise. The Natural Sapphire Company traced this gem from its origin and guided it through a process of selection and refinement that honors the stone and the people who found it. The finished gem is a beautiful transparent 2.11 carat round shape reddish orange sapphire, with dimensions of 7.22 by 7.17 by 4.72 mm. It has a mixed brilliant cut that balances lively scintillation with deep color, a clarity grade of slightly included evaluated at eye level that gives the stone character without diminishing its brilliance, intense color intensity that reads as warm and vivid, and an excellent polish. This sapphire is fully natural, untreated, with no enhancement, and it arrives ready to be set and admired.

The cutter who shaped this gem made choices that celebrate both its color and its light. The mixed brilliant cut captures internal fire while allowing the reddish orange tones to breathe, producing flashes that echo sunrise and ember. Viewed face up the gem shows an even, intense color that shifts subtly with movement, and from the side the pavilion facets create layers of warmth that draw the eye inward. Slight inclusions sit quietly beneath the surface like echoes of the stone s long geological history, adding depth and proof of natural origin rather than hiding flaws. At 2.11 carats this round sapphire offers a presence that is versatile and wearable, able to be crafted into a classic solitaire ring, a pendant that sits close to the heart, or a bespoke design that highlights its sunset palette. The excellent polish ensures a smooth, luminous surface that enhances the cut, and the exacting proportions of 7.22 by 7.17 by 4.72 mm make it straightforward for jewelers to design settings that protect the gem while letting light pass freely through it.

Beyond form and provenance, many collectors and wearers are drawn to the metaphysical qualities long associated with warm orange sapphires, qualities that this stone embodies in abundance. Traditionally, reddish orange tones are linked with vitality and creative impulse, combining the passionate energy of red with the joyful optimism of orange. This sapphire is often believed to stimulate creativity and personal courage, helping the wearer to take inspired action and to express their gifts with confidence. Practitioners who work with chakra energy commonly associate orange sapphires with the sacral chakra for creativity and emotional balance, and with the solar plexus for personal power and clarity of intention, making this gem a talisman for those seeking to align passion with purpose. Its warm, fiery hue is said to warm the heart, soothe fear, and clear the fog that blocks decision making, encouraging a steady focus on goals and a resilient spirit in the face of change. Many also regard natural, untreated stones as particularly resonant, believing that the unaltered character of a gem deepens its connection to the earth and to the wearer. For caretaking, gentle warm soapy water and a soft cloth are recommended to preserve its polish and natural beauty. To learn more about settings or to receive guidance on selecting a mounting that honors the stone s origins and energy, The Natural Sapphire Company stands ready to assist, with gem specialists who can share the story behind this special 2.11 carat reddish orange sapphire and help you imagine it brought into the next chapter of its life as a cherished piece.
