1.04 Ct. Bi Color / Parti Sapphire from Africa

This sapphire began its story deep in African terrain, where artisanal hands recover crystals from old weathered gravels, and where chance and geology conspired to form a stone with two living faces. From the rough it traveled to skilled cutters who recognized the promise of a transparent, bi color parti sapphire, and who shaped it into an elegant oval form of 1.04 carats, measuring 6.32 x 4.98 x 3.50 mm. The cutter chose a faceted mixed brilliant cut to balance depth of color with lively scintillation, the clarity graded as very slightly included when viewed at eye level, the color intensity pronounced and the polish finished to an excellent standard. A customary heat treatment was applied to unlock the truer hues, and then The Natural Sapphire Company brought the stone to its final form, ready to be set and worn.
