From the moment this pink sapphire first formed in the mineral rich soils of Madagascar, it began a journey shaped by time and pressure, and guided by human hands. Deep beneath riverbeds and granite outcrops, corundum crystals slowly took shape, capturing traces of iron and chromium that would one day give this stone its singular hue. Our field team sourced a transparent rough that showed promise, and after careful selection it left the mine to travel to our cutting studio. Skilled lapidaries examined its internal character, and they chose a cushion shape with a mixed brilliant faceted pavilion to maximize both brilliance and the soft, inviting pink that reads as rich and bold. The result is a finely faceted 1.51 carat gem, measuring 8.09 x 5.20 x 3.23 mm, with an excellent polish and a clarity grade of very slightly included evaluated at eye level, and no enhancement, a testament to its natural origins.
