2.03 Ct. Pink Sapphire from Ceylon (Sri Lanka)

From the rich, weathered soils of Ceylon Sri Lanka this pear shaped pink sapphire began its long story, carried from small, historic mine workings where generations have sought the island gems, to careful hands that sifted and selected the most transparent stones, this particular gem arriving at our bench as a 2.03 carat pear shape measuring 10.20 x 6.63 x 4.01 mm, transparent with medium color intensity, very very slightly included evaluated at eye level, and enhanced by traditional heat treatment to reveal its pure pink heart. The mixed brilliant cut was chosen to honor the stone's natural proportions, to balance depth and width, and to create a graceful teardrop profile that invites both classic and contemporary settings. Every facet was polished to an excellent finish, so that the sapphire tells a layered story of earth and craft with every turn.
