At the hands of an experienced cutter the pair was shaped into matching ovals, one weighing 1.05 carats, the other 0.90 carats, with dimensions of 7.09 by 5.08 by 3.48 millimeters and 6.99 by 5.00 by 3.24 millimeters respectively. The mixed brilliant cut maximizes the vivid color and light return, the clarity is evaluated at eye level as very very slightly included, and the excellent polish gives each facet a mirror like finish, together these attributes create a pair that reflects Ceylonese character and jewellery craft.
