Traditional Blue Sapphires Fit Right in with Pantone Color of the Year 2020: Classic Blue

Pantone announced the color of the year for 2020 to be Classic Blue, a beautiful color that lends itself perfectly to sapphires. Described as a shade reminiscent of the sky at dusk, according to the vice president of the Pantone Color Institute, “It’s a color that anticipates what’s going to happen next.” We couldn’t agree more and you will find some beautiful examples of classic blue pictured below.

Pantone’s color selection has a 20 year history of predicting each year’s “it” color, that combines many hours of careful thought and trend analysis. Influences include travel, fashion, entertainment, as well as popular lifestyle choices and socio-economic conditions. This color choice evokes the enduring blue, popularity of the past, while bridging the gap to what lies ahead. These aren’t your commercial, deep blue sapphires, they have a life and vibrancy all of their own, and a gorgeous sparkle to match. The quality if the color will never get old, and will spur creativity and excitement to last a lifetime.
