We use the most advanced technology in gemology to laser engrave each of our sapphires with a unique ID number. The engraving on the girdle of the sapphire is only visible under 10x magnification and cannot be seen with the naked eye. This black and white image is an actual photo of the engraving on the stone.
Micro-laser engraved ID numbers are beneficial for identification and tracking, proof of ownership, and insurance purposes. |

All of our sapphires come with a 3D optical scanning report. This report shows the exact faceting angles, dimensions, percent measurement comparison data, and symmetry details for the stone.
We use the latest scanning technology to give us valuation and comparison analytics that were never before available in the gemological industry. We are the only company on the internet that provides this advanced documentation for each of our gemstones. While these reports are not complimentary from other gemological laboratories, we provide these documents for all of our sapphires at no additional charge.
Each report is accompanied by a dust cover which explains the definitions and stone characteristics listed on the report. |

| 3RD PARTY REPORT – GIA OR AGTA |
Some stones are accompanied by a third party laboratory report in addition to our in-house documentation. These stones have been randomly selected from our inventory to be audited by an independent laboratory to maintain our position of quality control and reporting. Not all stones have been evaluated by a third party laboratory. Gemological testing reports from these institutions are expensive and testing our entire inventory would prove to be cost prohibitive.
The Natural Sapphire Company employs the same GIA (Gemological Institute of America) certified gemologists that third party laboratories employ, use the same technical equipment and have the same standards in reporting. Our internal reports are as accurate and guaranteed as any high quality third party laboratory.
We recognize the reporting from the following independent laboratories, all of which are members of the LMHC (Laboratory Manual Harmonization Committee): The GIA (Gemological Institute of America), AGTA (American Gem Trade Association), Gubelin Lab (Switzerland) and SSEF Laboratories (Switzerland).

At The Natural Sapphire Company all of our orders are custom made. Because we guarantee the highest quality standards in all of our work, we need an appropriate amount of time to create each piece. The production time stated is a general guideline. It is possible we could complete the work early or perhaps need more time. If your order is going to be delayed in production we will call or email you. In most cases we complete the order earlier than the scheduled production time.
If you have special requirements or deadlines, we can rush your order at no charge. Please call us if you have a special question or request.

GOLD
Gold can come in a range of colors. The most common are white, yellow, and rose gold. The percentage of pure gold to an alloy in the metal will determine the “karat” of the metal as well as its color. Gold is measured on a karat scale of 24 parts. 14K gold has 14 parts gold per alloy; meaning it is 58.33% pure gold. 18K gold has 18 parts per alloy; meaning it is 75% pure gold.
PLATINUM 950
Platinum is usually cast with an alloy like iridium or palladium. The platinum number corresponds to the percentage of pure platinum in the metal. Platinum 950 is 95% pure platinum.
PALLADIUM
Palladium is a platinum group metal, or PMG. It is increasingly being used as a substitute for platinum and white gold because it is harder and less expensive.

This means that you will need to know the
exact dimensions in millimeters (mm).

We have two status classifications for our items: Available and On Hold.
“Available” means that the item is in our office and can be shipped immediately.
“On Hold” means that an item is not available for immediate delivery. On Hold can mean a few different things. The item may be out on preview with another client or a client is arranging payment to purchase the item and has reserved it. On Hold can also mean the item is at one of our trade shows, with a retail store, or out to another dealer on consignment. The item may not sell and could return to Available status within a short period of time. Our database is ‘real time’ so we show the active status for all of our inventory items 24/7.
If you see an item that you are interested in, you can still go through the steps of buying the item online to ensure that you will be the next person in line should the item become Available. If the item is not returned to us, we will contact you to let you know that your transaction has been voided.
